Warsaw FFA Celebrates National FFA Week Through Service, Leadership and Community Connections

It’s National FFA Week, and the Warsaw FFA chapter at Warsaw Community High School is celebrating in a big way. With 65 active members this year, students are spending the week highlighting service, leadership and the important role agriculture plays in their school and community.
The celebration begins with the chapter’s annual Staff Appreciation Breakfast, where members deliver donuts to all WCHS staff members as a thank-you for their ongoing support. Throughout the week, members are taking part in dress-up days, classroom activities and chapter events designed to build camaraderie and showcase FFA spirit. Students are enjoying bowling, a movie and game night and a chapter meeting filled with fun activities and good food.
The week wraps up with the annual Officer Rewards Trip to a Fort Wayne Komets hockey game, recognizing members who have shown exceptional dedication and involvement in the chapter.
A Year of Achievement
FFA Week is also a time to celebrate a strong year of accomplishments. Warsaw FFA members have competed in Livestock Skill-A-Thon, Crops Judging, Forestry Judging and Entomology Career Development Events (CDEs), along with the Chapter Meeting Leadership Development Event (LDE).

More than 30 members participated in area contests, showing the chapter’s commitment to developing knowledge, teamwork and real-world skills.
Fundraising and Community Impact
Service and community connection remain at the heart of Warsaw FFA. This year, members hosted the FFA Community Appreciation Supper and Worker Experience Auction, donating four hours of community service to the highest bidders. The annual Fruit, Cheese, Jam and Salsa Sales also supported chapter programming.
Members serve at the Young McDonald’s Barn during the Kosciusko County Fair, care for animals and educate the public about agriculture. Students also assist Echoes of the Past during wheat binding season and fall festival events, volunteer at the Barn and Business Breakfast and teach fourth graders during Kosciusko County Agriculture Awareness Days.
Growing Leaders for the Future
Through competitions, leadership events and service projects, Warsaw FFA members are building confidence, strengthening communication skills and stepping into leadership roles. Their work reflects the mission of the National FFA Organization and its motto: Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.
