Key Club Visits The Animal Welfare League!
We are always looking for new service projects to help out in our community! We were so grateful to get the opportunity to volunteer at Animal Welfare this week! We got to play with cats and dogs that were in need of socialization. The animals were so sweet, and this was such a fun experience. We can't wait to go back next year :)

Warsaw JROTC had their final Drill Competition at Waukegan High school in Waukegan, IL on Mar 16, 2024. Warsaw did an amazing job even though they haven't received the results back from Waukegan. But whether they placed or not, for Warsaw, that was one of their best competitions yet. And for their seniors, all the cadets will miss them lots, but they made sure to give their seniors one last final good competition with a final farewell. Great job Warsaw JROTC! #ExperienceWCS

Warsaw JROTC hosted their first Drill competition in 5 years. Though we didn't take home the first place trophy, 3rd place is just as good! Our armed drill platoon won first place overall and our color guards did a phenomenal job as well. Even though we started late, had some miscommunication and much needed papers getting printed out slowing us down, we had a very successful drill comp. Thank you to all the schools that came and good job to everyone who competed.

Today in Human Body Systems (HBS) students investigated the respiratory system by dissecting sheep plucks (the trachea, lungs, and heart of a sheep). They started their dissection by looking at the external anatomy and then used a bike pump to inflate the sheep's lungs. To finish their dissection they will look more closely at the internal structure of the lungs and look at how the heart and lungs are connected on Thursday. #ExperienceWCS

On January 28th, Raiders team Captain, Cadet Cpt. Jamison had the opportunity to speak with the Chain Breakers about the WCHS JROTC Raiders team. The Chain Breakers is a group of young men grades 7-12. Cadet Cpt. Jamison and these young men shared a twenty minute Bible lesson together, and then participated in three rotations. The rotations consisted of liter carry, doing a workout, and learning about rope bridge. The Chain Breakers had a great time learning about the Raiders team and WCHS JROTC, and getting to be with the cadets. #ExperienceWCS
