college of students in broadcasting

Mrs. Hopper's dual credit broadcasting classes traveled to Huntington University. They learned what Huntington's Digital Media Arts program could offer as well as provided them with the opportunity to explore their dreams and allowed them to see a nationally ranked colleges Radio, TV, Film and Animation Studios; the same places where former HU students launched their careers in local and national news organizations as well Hollywood. It helped them better understand the importance of being fluent in the terminology and techniques they have been studying during class. Students also enjoyed seeing many pieces of high dollar film equipment such as a Red Epic and using industry standard equipment. This trip ultimately helped jump start many students into thinking about future opportunities. TV II and Radio II are a dual credit courses in partnership with Huntington University where students spend a great deal of time producing the daily news for WCHS and production pieces for WLQZ.
