Students in Amy Riley's ECON class welcomed The Beaman Home Director Renea Salyer to accept a generous donation collected by the class when challenged by Junior Achievement (JA) volunteer Rick Keeven - who personally matched their donation.
Jacob Dahlgren, Class of 2023, and his family, gave a significant gift as thanks for the incredible work the Beaman Home offers this community.
Renea spoke to students about the mission of The Beaman Home and about Mary Ann’s Place, a resale shop benefitting The Beaman Home, located at 704 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
As part of the ECON class offered at WCHS, JA volunteers and guest speakers like Renea equip students with a deeper understanding of community by highlighting the value of enriching the lives of others and by inspiring them to give of their time and talents.
