The Automotive Services "laboratory" looks different than many labs. In addition to traditional classroom style lessons, our students are able to do hands-on learning through performing a variety of automotive services.

Advanced Nutrition and Wellness completed a "You Pick" lab today. They talked about food insecurity, researched government assistance programs, and costed out a week’s worth of grocery on a SNAP budget. Each group then picked a recipe using their grocery list & commodity items.

Sophomore and Junior female WACC students can now register for the NEW Workshop featuring nontraditional employment for women. The event at the TRAC on April 13 features opportunities to explore over 40 different careers through roundtable discussions and hands-on activities.
Today a panel of WACC Senior students were able to share about their experiences in their career pathways with Dr. Hoffert & the Tiger Ambassadors. Students shared about their wide range of classes taken, pathways pursued, future plans, and favorite/most influential teachers.

WACC CTE Spirit Week Day 4 - "Dress For Success" aka Suit Day
WCS is excited to share that the Warsaw Area Career Center Cosmetology School was recently licensed as a Beauty Culture School by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.
To celebrate, the public is invited to a Community Open House on Tuesday, February 28, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the salon, which is located in Lakeview Middle School at 848 E. Smith Street. Visitors are welcome to access the Cosmetology School via Door 5, at the front of Lakeview. Students will be present to provide tours, answer questions, and offer sample hand massages, scalp massages and hair tinsel applications.
The school will open to the general public for salon appointments beginning on March 15. During the month of March, appointments will be available from 12:00-3:15 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Grand Opening specials will be offered throughout March as well. Cash and checks will be accepted for services.
